I find my self on another night shift working from 12-8am with some bonus overtime added to the shift asking me to come in 930pm and stay to 930 am to baby sit a live stream cast. I have been making an effort to draw more in my spare time, which is hard when you wor a progressively later shift each week in a 6 week rotation and it always seems to be the over night that turns to be my most productive. I sit around for a number of hours waiting for people to produce stuff I get to cut for later. Its all copy paste work at this time of the morning and little is creative but because its fast and simple I get the time to sit and draw inbetween that on a day shift I would get beaten over.  Apparently I cant read or draw but; smoking every 15 min, watching TV, wandering around talking to people, talking on the phone constantly with family, facebook, flat out ignoring work and staring at a blank screen and working like a snail are all acceptable work practices but drawing and such are forebidden. I am a comic nerd through and through, I enjoy talking, reading and drawing'em but I have no one to share them with these days besides my "comic book guy" at the amazing Happy Harbor Comics here in edmonton to rant about stuff with. I have NO ONE, the meer attempt to explain that there is now two batmen(more pending) and two Robins (5 in total ever) to the girlfriend is just frustrating. No one at work reads them let alone was born in my decade. I need a Oprah's Comic Book Club, and yet if it existed I bet i couldnt go do to my work schedule conflicting with its meeting times.  So when it comes to my midnight shifts I get a huge dose of comics reading, drawing, and interwebs viewing. Its sad the most disruptive shift has become my favourite. I enjoy it to no end(aside from the exhaustion and lack of sunlight in the winter).
